I started this blog in January 2024. My goal was to build a profitable blog that would allow me to have both time and financial freedom.
In just 1.5 years I was able to grow it to 50K+ sessions per month, I got accepted to Mediavine, and I make $3,500+ per month from it.
My story
I have a PhD in chemistry and I used to work demanding jobs in corporate America. This was supposed to be the dream, but it was a nightmare.
I felt stuck in a career and lifestyle I didn’t like, I was exhausted, unfulfilled, and deeply unhappy. You can read my full story here.
In 2024 I took a huge leap of faith. I quit my corporate career, started this travel blog, and moved back to Romania from NYC.
I gave myself 1-2 years to make this blog work and earn enough money from it to live a good life. During this time I lived off of my savings. It was the biggest risk I’ve ever taken, but it paid off.
Now, in just 1.5 years this blog is my main source of income. And it allows me to have both the time and financial freedom I was craving.
I finally live a life full of joy, peace, and purpose. No more Sunday scaries and working 16 hour days.
People on Instagram started asking me how I’ve done it
I recently did a Q&A on my Instagram account. Someone asked me to tell them more about blogging.
I told them that it’s an incredible career, it’s my main income stream, and I love the fact that you can scale it so much. There is no income ceiling in blogging. You could earn $100, $1,000, $10,000, or $100,000+ per month from a blog, depending on where you are in your journey.
And I linked this blog post I wrote about how to start a blog in case they wanted to read more about it.
To my surprise, the click rate for this blog post I shared was almost 10%. Usually, all other links I share on my stories have a click rate of about 1%. So a lot of people were interested in this topic.
At the same time I got a DM asking me if I considered building a course about blogging for beginners.
I had never thought about it until that moment. So I polled my Instagram audience and I asked people to vote if they would be interested in me creating a blogging course.
Almost 100 people voted yes and said they would like a detailed course with video lessons. I was in awe of this response. So I decided to create a course since it would help so many people.
The Blogging Roadmap Course
That’s how The Blogging Roadmap Course was born. Three Instagram followers are currently beta-testing it to give me feedback on how to make it the most helpful for beginners.
I will launch this course in August to support everyone who wants to build their dream life through blogging.
The course has 7 modules and 34 lessons. I go over every step I took to build and scale my blog.
I reveal my entire strategy in this course. No gatekeeping. Because I know how much my life changed for the better since deciding to take a risk and building this blog.
And I want everyone who has a similar dream to experience it. Because it’s possible. And because you deserve it.
I even talk in Module 1 about the key to my success, which is not my strategy. It’s something that not many people talk about. But if you’re able to master this skill, you will be successful not only in blogging, but in everything else you do in life.
