Hotel Cafe Royal

Hotel Café Royal is a 5-star luxury hotel on Regent Street, right in the heart of the city, and one of the best spa hotels in England. It is one of the historic hotels in London where famous people like Oscar Wilde and Princess Diana stayed.

It has a central location, so Piccadilly Circus, Soho, and Covent Garden are all within walking distance. This means that you can easily enjoy shopping, theatres, and dining if you stay here.

The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre here is one of the best wellness facilities in London. It was awarded England’s Best Hotel Spa by the World Spa Awards.

No wonder it got this award. It offers a sauna and steam rooms, a hammam, and an 18-metre swimming pool. In addition there is a fully equipped gym in case hotel guests want to work on their fitness during their trip.

The wellbeing center also offers a wide range of holistic spa treatments, including massages and meditation sessions. It basically is a full spa resort, not just a hotel.

Rooms are spacious with contemporary design and all the modern amenities you need. Some suites overlook Regent Street. The hotel also has several restaurants and a famous afternoon tea.

If you want a mix of old-school London glamour, a prime location, and world-class spa facilities, Hotel Cafe Royal is a top pick.

Rosewood London

Rosewood London is a 5-star hotel just a short walk from Covent Garden. It combines Edwardian architecture with sleek interiors and exceptional service. It has an upscale, classic feel that makes it the ideal place to stay if you like hotels with history and character.

Their Sense Spa has a calming sauna, steam rooms, and a range of luxury treatments. There’s also a relaxation lounge and a central courtyard where you can escape the city buzz.

It’s one of those rare central London hotels where you can unwind in a quiet space after a long day of sightseeing.

Rosewood London is also home to the first Face Place outside of the United States, providing exclusive access to the Face Place Signature Treatment that celebrities use. In addition they offer a cutting-edge gym, called the Fitness Suite.

Guest rooms are spacious and elegant with marble bathrooms and plush beds. Dining options include the buzzy Holborn Dining Room and the Scarfes Bar, which has live jazz. If you want a traditional London stay with a luxurious spa, Rosewood is the perfect spot.

Pan Pacific London

Pan Pacific London is one of the newest luxury hotels in the city and it feels very modern compared to older properties. It’s right by Liverpool Street Station, making it convenient for exploring both East London and the more traditional attractions.

The wellness floor is massive and designed with relaxation in mind. It has a 18.5-metre infinity pool overlooking the skyline, a sauna, steam room, and even mindfulness and yoga sessions.

Few London hotels offer this level of wellness facilities, which makes Pan Pacific ideal if spa and fitness are important to you. They also have spa treatments for children aged 6-16 so they can dip their toes into the world of wellness.

Their innovative wellness offerings combine Western science with South East Asian traditions for a holistic approach.

The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, high-tech features, and a calm, minimalist design. There are also several in-house dining options, including a Southeast Asian restaurant and an excellent cocktail bar.

The hotel also offers the Sensory Sleep Experience. This is an bespoke program tailored to the guest’s personal needs to ensure a good night’s rest. It can include calming teas, guided meditation and therapeutic sessions.

If you want a hotel that blends modern style with resort-level sauna facilities and body treatments, this is a great choice.

London Eye and the Thames in London

Shangri-La Hotel The Shard

Shangri-La offers the best views in London since it’s located in The Shard. You’ll see Tower Bridge, the River Thames, and the entire city skyline from your room, and even from the bathrooms in some suites.

I didn’t stay here, but I went to see The Shard in person and it was very impressive. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to stay there for a few nights.

The wellness area has an infinity pool and a sauna where you can relax with panoramic views. It’s an experience you won’t get anywhere else in London. After a day exploring Borough Market or the Tate Modern, being able to have this experience is very special.

Rooms are elegant and equipped with everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel. The dining options include TĪNG Restaurant & Lounge and the Gong Bar on the 52nd floor. If you want a stay that feels unique and memorable, Shangri-La is an unbeatable choice.

Chelsea Harbour Hotel

Chelsea Harbour Hotel is a great pick if you want a quieter London experience. It’s a 5-star hotel right on the marina, so instead of busy streets, you’ll wake up to water views and a more relaxed pace. The location is still convenient with easy access to central London by taxi or public transport.

The spa here includes a sauna, steam room, indoor pool, and a fitness center. It’s not as flashy as some of the city’s 5-star spas, but it’s a solid option for travelers who value wellness facilities without needing something over the top.

All rooms are suites with separate living areas, which means more space than you’ll find at most London hotels. The riverside restaurant has outdoor seating and the views over the marina are especially nice in the evening. If you want a London stay that feels more like a retreat, Chelsea Harbour is a great fit.

trafalgar square

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is as luxurious as it gets. Its location overlooking Hyde Park is perfect if you want easy access to green space and Knightsbridge shopping. Harrods and Harvey Nichols are just around the corner.

The spa is one of London’s best with multiple saunas, steam rooms, vitality pools, and a range of holistic treatments. The wellness area is beautifully designed and feels like a destination in itself. It’s the kind of place where you could happily spend an entire day without leaving the hotel.

The rooms and suites have been recently renovated and feel fresh and modern while still keeping a classic London feel. Dining options include Heston Blumenthal’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant, making this hotel ideal for foodies as well.

If you want top-notch service and spa facilities that stand out, Mandarin Oriental is an amazing choice.

Ham Yard Hotel

Ham Yard Hotel is a 5 star boutique hotel with loads of character. It’s located in Soho near Piccadilly Circus, putting you right in the middle of London’s nightlife, theatres, and restaurants.

The spa here is called Soholistic Spa (I love its name!). It’s smaller compared to the spas of other London hotels, but it includes a sauna, steam room, and a treatment menu focused on relaxation. The hotel also has quirky extras you won’t find elsewhere, like a private bowling alley, a rooftop terrace with a garden, and colorful design throughout.

Rooms are individually decorated with bold prints and fabrics, and the whole hotel feels vibrant and welcoming. If you want something more playful than a traditional London hotel, Ham Yard is a fantastic option.

Limehouse Library Hotel

Limehouse Library Hotel is a 4 star hotel. It’s one of London’s more unique stays because it’s set inside a converted historic library in East London. It’s a bit outside the typical tourist areas, which makes it appealing if you want a more local experience.

There’s a small wellness area with a sauna and steam room, which is a nice surprise for a boutique property. It’s a good fit for travelers who don’t need a massive spa but still want some wellness amenities at the end of the day.

Rooms feature design elements that combine the building’s history with modern comforts. If you want something a bit different from the central London luxury hotels and you like the idea of staying in a historic building, Limehouse is a great pick.
