1. Heritage Collection on Boat Quay (Quayside Wing)
Heritage Collection on Boat Quay (Quayside Wing) is a digital hotel. I booked the Stamford Studio because it had a balcony and spectacular views of the Singapore River, Marina Bay Sands, and the Boat Quay area.
The hotel is located in a prime location in Singapore, right on Boat Quay, in the heart of the city. You will find a lot of restaurants here. And Clarke Quay (where you board the Singapore River cruise), Chinatown, and the Central Business District are all within walking distance.
Even though there were a lot of restaurants on the ground level and they were all playing music at night, the noise level was not too bad. You could hear a little music, but I was able to fall asleep with no problems when I stayed there. I used to live in NYC, so I’m used with a little noise. If you need your hotel to be extremely quiet at night, I suggest you pick another hotel from this list.
Even though it is a digital hotel, the customer service was so amazing and they provided all the information I needed to make sure the check in and check out processes went smoothly. They also stored my bags until I had to go to the airport.
The hotel room was spacious and had all the amenities you would expect from a traditional hotel.
This was my first stay at a digital hotel and I enjoyed so much. It’s a more unique Singapore hotel.
2. Fairmont Singapore
Fairmont Singapore is a luxury hotel in the heart of Singapore. The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows so you can enjoy the city view. Some of the rooms have incredible views of Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer.
The amenities are all high-end: Le Labo toiletries, a Nespresso machine, 24/7 in-room dining among other things.
The hotel has 12 dining venues, including a 2 star Michelin restaurant. They also have an award-winning spa. If you want to experience Singaporean luxury while you’re in town this hotel could be a great choice.
3. Village Hotel Katong by Far East Hospitality
Village Hotel Katong is a 4-star hotel located in the Katong district of Singapore. This area is home of the Peranakans.
The term Peranakan describes the descendants of Chinese men who came to Malaysia and married Malay women. The other word for it is Baba-Nyonya, where Baba is the name used for a boy and Nyonya for a girl.
The hotel is located a short walk from the Marine Parade MRT Station, which allows you to easily get to many tourist and cultural attractions, including Gardens by the Bay and the SkyPark observation deck.
The rooms are colorful, matching the exterior of the heritage buildings in this neighborhood. All rooms have a private balcony with views of the city and modern amenities.
You can pick a deluxe room, club rooms, or a superior room if your party is up to 2 people. Or a family room that can sleep up for 4 people.
The hotel has an outdoor pool that’s open from 7am to 10pm and it comes with free towels and water bottles. Their fitness centre is open 24/7 if you’re in the mood for a workout.
There is a restaurant on-site called Nyonyas & Gentlemen where they serve Peranakan cuisine.
Staying in a Peranakan hotel can be a unique experience while you’re in Singapore.
4. Naumi Hotel Singapore
Naumi Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in the city center. All their rooms and suites are artistic and are decorated in different color patterns and styles.
The Patio room comes with a private patio, complete with a day bed and lush greenery. This way you can have your own urban oasis to relax and be outside in the comfort of your hotel room.
All amenities are luxurious too. For example, they use Egyptian cotton bedding, a complimentary mini bar, a rain shower, a Nespresso machine, and Apple TV.
5. Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay
Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay is a luxury hotel in the Central Business District, close to Marina Bay Sands. They have over 500 large rooms with impressive views of the Singapore skyline and balconies.
The hotel also has Southeast Asia’s largest indoor sky-lit atrium. This atrium has over 2,400 plants and trees from more than 60 varieties of plants. They are going for the garden in a hotel concept.
It’s also a hotel that focuses on sustainability and environmental responsibility. For example they use solar panels for renewable energy to power all guest lifts and emergency lights. The hotel also installed filtered water system in all guestrooms to eliminate the use of 360,000 plastic bottles annually.
They have 5 restaurants and bars on site and they are some of them have awards for best restaurants in Marina Bay.
