DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station
This Double Tree by Hilton Hotel is located in the city centre of Amsterdam, right by Central Station. Most famous landmarks are within walking distance.
The location is also perfect if you plan on taking day trips. You can easily take the train from Central Station to go to Zaanse Schans, Rotterdam, or Haarlem, for example.
They have a restaurant and a coffee shop on site, which is very convenient, especially in the morning.
They also have a rooftop bar, LuminAir, that has unrivalled views of the Amsterdam canals. You can have a relaxing drink here and enjoy the beauty of Amsterdam from above after a long day of exploring the city.
They have a large variety of rooms: double rooms, deluxe rooms, suites. You can pick whatever suits best your preference and budget. As with most hotels of this caliber, they offer free wifi, a fitness center, room service, a flat-screen tv in the room, and a modern design.
Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam
Staying at the Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam will be an unforgettable experience. That’s because this hotel consists of 6 canal palaces that were built in the 17th and 18th century.
It has an amazing location in the heart of Amsterdam and it offers some of the best views of Amsterdam’s canals. It has 2 Michelin restaurants on site as well as a spa.
The hotel has beautiful rooms with lovely canal views or views of their private gardens. It is a luxurious hotel with elegant design details. If you’re looking for a more high-end option this hotel is a great place to stay.
Pulitzer Amsterdam
Pulitzer Amsterdam is a 5-star hotel in a tranquil area by some iconic Amsterdam canals. It is located across 25 golden age canal houses and it also has private gardens. The location is great, as most major attractions are a short walk from this hotel.
It doesn’t matter if you’re staying in a regular guest room or one of their classic suites. All the rooms are incredible. It’s one of the best hotels in Amsterdam.
It has dining on site and they also have a bar, Pulitzer’s bar, where you can enjoy a drink by the canals. They also have a spa on site, called The Beauty House, that offers individualized treatments.
This hotel has a historic charm combined with modern Dutch craftsmanship.
The Dylan Amsterdam
The Dylan is a luxury 5-star Amsterdam hotel. It is located along the Keizersgracht canal in the 9 Streets area and it offers rooms with incredible views.
It has 4 different room styles, Loxura, Serendipity, Loft, and Amber. You can pick the room style that you like best when you make a reservation.
Loxura rooms are inspired by the copper-coloured Loxura butterfly. It has bronze mirrors, and copper-colored furniture. The rooms have a warm and elegant vibe.
Serendipity rooms have a contemporary design and are decorated with tones of brown and grey.
The Loft rooms look like a loft, as the name suggests. They have wooden beams, white walls, and beige accents.
Amber rooms are inspired by the stone amber. So you can expect amber tones and luxurious materials that give the rooms a retro feel.
I love the variety of room designs. They offer something for each taste and it’s a pretty unique concept.
They have a restaurant that’s open all day on site, as well as a Michelin star restaurant.
Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre
Mövenpick Hotel is a 4 star hotel on the banks of the IJ River. It’s located 20 minutes away from Schiphol Airport and a few minutes away from the city center.
It is also close to Central Station, so it’s a great option if you plan on taking day trips and need to catch a train early in the morning.
They have both a restaurant and a bar onsite. In addition, this smoke-free hotel offers a fitness center, Finnish sauna, and massage room.
It’s a large hotel. It has 408 rooms, but all rooms have a nice view of Amsterdam.
Monet Garden Hotel Amsterdam
Monet Garden Hotel is a 4-star boutique hotel in the city center. It got the Travelers’ Choice Award Best of the Best in 2024. Many of its stylish rooms offer incredible canal views.
It offers a breakfast buffet, a bar and lounge, and a fitness center. Most attractions are withing walking distance. If you need to take public transportation, the nearest metro stop is Waterlooplein.
